Backstreet Boys: The Best Boy Band Of All Time
The Backstreet Boys are a group that has definitely gotten their fair share of both.Although they are often considered the best boy band of all time, the Backstreet Boys have seemingly struggled to stay relevant in the world of Big Time Rush and One Direction. I’m here to say that the struggle is over. Not only do their numbers prove that they’re better than any other boy band, but they are now more relevant than ever!
I mean who hasn’t swooned over pictures of Nick Carter and sung “I Want It That Way” at least ONCE for karaoke?!
But first, the numbers:
Their first album sold over 10 million copies WORLDWIDE – and that was before they even hit the U.S. market! They debuted in the U.S. with their second album, Backstreet’s Back. They went Platinum in several countries around the world, but again – not in the U.S.
They released their first album, Backstreet Boys, in the U.S. one day after they debuted their second album. Backstreet Boys went platinum in the U.S. 14 times over! And the rest, as they say, is history.
BSB have sold more than 130 million records worldwide – making them the best-selling boyband. Not only that, but it makes them one of the best-selling artists EVER!
Not only are they the best boy band in history, but they are now about to be the best show in Las Vegas!
The Backstreet Boys have confirmed that they will do a Las Vegas residency trial run. There’s no doubt in my mind that they’ll have great success and stay for quite a while. Just take a look at the other stars that have stayed for longer than they thought: Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey! Not only have the Backstreet Boys released nine studio albums since their start over 20 years ago, but they are back in the studio once again! Their exact album release date has not been comfirmed, but members of the band have said that it is coming out in 2016!
And you know what’s even more exciting than THAT?!
The Backstreet Boys are collaborating with none other than Florida Georgia Line on a song that will be released this summer – in August! This is a bold and exciting move for both parties involved. Florida Georgia Line has a record of finding great success with collaborations. Just take a look at their megahit “Cruise” featuring Nelly!
And now we have Florida Georgia Line and the Backstreet Boys… this is going to be one for the books!
