Logan hits theaters tomorrow night! This is third and final Wolverine film filming X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). But could this mark the end for Professor X (Patrick Stewart)?

Stewart has been a key character throughout the X-Men series: Charles Xavier aka Professor X. Stewart has portrayed Professor X in all the classic X-Men films such as X-Men (2000)X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013).

In an interview conducted by Entertainment Weekly Patrick Stewart made clear that he was happy how Logan wrapped up his character, “So, we had some time to sit there and, as I sat there I realized there will never be a better, a more perfect, a more sensitive, emotional, and beautiful way of saying au revoir to Charles Xavier than this movie. So, I told [Hugh] that same evening, ‘I’m done too. It’s all over.”

Stewart is pleased and content with how his character comes out of this film. It’s an honor to the series to have character stay with them for so long. It’s even more honorable that Patrick Stewart as an actor stayed with the role for so long. In every series there’s a time that a character has fulfilled their role. For Professor X, it sounds like Logan is the end of his era.

The reviews call this film more “alive” than the rest of the X-Men films. Logan shows us much more violence and use of the claws! More than was ever seen or allowed in the other movies and comics. If you’re a die hard fan, Logan will not disappoint you. Go see Logan in theaters this weekend!
