Susan Lucci is an American actress, TV host and author, born on December 23, 1946. She is best known for her role as Erica Kane on ABC’s daytime drama
All My Children. Susan has been called “Daytime’s Leading Lady” by TV Guide and
New York Times and Los Angeles Times cited her as the highest-paid actor in daytime television.
Susan is best known for her role as Eric Kane on
All My Children, in which she appeared from January 1970 to 2011. She was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on
All My Children also every year since 1978. After 18 failed nominations, she finally won an Emmy in 1999. Susan was also named one of VH1’s 200 Top Icons of All-Time and one of Barbara Walter’s Ten Most Fascinating People.
Susan also played roles in made-for-TV movies, hosted many shows and guest starred on TV comedy series. In 1982, she appeared in a cameo appearance in the comedy film
Young Doctors in Love. She also played the role of Darya in the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning TV movie
Anastasia: The Mystery of Anna (1986). In 1990-1991, she began a series of guest spots on the nighttime soap opera
Dallas. In 1995, Susan appeared in the Lifetime television film
Ebbie. In 2004, she appeared as a guest star in two episodes of the ABC comedy series
Hope & Faith. In 2010, Susan appeared in
Hot in Cleveland five times. She also appeared in Gloria Estefan’s music video “Hotel Nacional” in 2012 and guest starred in Lifetime’s
Army Wives. In 2013, she hosted
Deadly Affairs and currently starts as Genevieve Delatour in the Lifetime TV series
Devious Maids.
Susan is notorious in the entertainment world. She has appeared in many daytime TV shows and starred in
